Darvish Interiors Philanthropy
Giving Back to Our Community
As a locally owned and operated small business serving Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the D.C. metro area, we believe strongly in our responsibility to give back to our community. When we help each other, the world is a better place. Plain and simple.
We all go through tough times, some more than others. Helping each other brings hope for a brighter tomorrow. With our philanthropy work, we try to make a difference in our community and in the lives of the people we help.
HomeAid National Capital Region
Formerly known as HomeAid Northern Virginia, HomeAid National Capital Region is a nonprofit committed to building a future without homelessness. HomeAid connects vetted local nonprofits serving those experiencing homelessness with building experts who donate their time, resources, and expertise to create dignified, safe, and stable spaces that foster healing and growth.
John Darvish, owner of Darvish Interiors, serves on the Board of HomeAid National Capital Region and actively donates his time and resources to provide support to people experiencing homelessness in our community. He is the recipient of the 2007 HomeAid NOVA ‘Trade Partner of the Year’ award and the 2015 HomeAid NOVA ‘Presidents’ Circle’ award.
This organization is close to our heart because we know firsthand how important a safe and stable home is. In our business, we help homeowners build the home of their dreams. With HomeAid, we can use our expertise and resources to help those who aren’t as fortunate.
Women Giving Back
John Darvish and Darvish Interiors also supports the local nonprofit organization, Women Giving Back, which provides quality clothing at no cost to women and children in crisis. Childcare and breakfast are provided onsite in the play area as the women shop.
We believe strongly in the mission and impact of Women Giving Back, which is why we donated and installed new flooring in the children’s play area in 2016. We are proud to be part of helping women and children in crisis get back on their feet and on the road to a brighter future.
